Backdrop places an image in your screen's background and also allows you to run in inverted white-on-black mode.

The background and inverse mode will stay in place when other apps are running, though you may set it to remove them for certain programs. The background image is customizable, as it will read images saved in the ImageViewer format. Uses 80kb of RAM.
