Getting a lot of "Illegal Operations"? The problem may be with old versions of system files conflicting with new versions of the same system files.

On Windows-based systems, particularly with Windows 95 and 98, software applications that you install may install an updated system file. But instead of replacing an old system file, it often puts the new system file in its own application folder. Problems can then appear when other applications load the old version from your System folder.

RJ System File Checker scans your system for duplicate system files and eliminates the old versions. You have the option of having File Checker automatically do the work for you and reporting on what it did, or you can have it present a listing of all duplicate system files and version information to determine the best course of action.

Warning: Please exercise care when using this product, as carelessly removing system files can make your Windows operating system completely inoperable, even possibly preventing Windows from booting. In short, if you are unsure about what to do, then do nothing.
