Overseer is a Windows 2000/XP-based network/system monitoring tool designed to utilize MMC for configuration, runs as a service, and is able to notify administrators via Email, pager, cell phone, or net send.

Overseer can monitor websites via HTTP, network devices via ping, Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 services on any computer on your network, Windows Event Logs from any server on your network, available disk space on any machine on your network, and more. The program watches your systems 24 hours a day, giving you peace of mind that your systems are always available.

In case of system failure, Overseer will notify administrators via E-mail, pager, cell phone, or Net Send. The program can be configured to send notifications after a resource has been down for a certain amount of time, re-send notifications at specific intervals, and stop sending once a certain period of time has elapsed.

Notifications can also be sent once a resource comes back on-line, possibly saving system administrators an unnecessary trip to the datacenter. Allow Overseer to actively monitor your critical IT systems, so you don't have to.
