You see the blackness of outer space with sparks of stars across it. You are flying around the Earth, a huge colourful ball with a thin veil of atmosphere. When you have finished being nostalgic, you can use the interactive mode. Instead of moving in a randomly selected orbit, you can control the globe. Use your arrow keys to rotate the globe. Earth 3D Screensaver allows you to turn on additional objects in the options. You can see airplanes, and labelled large cities and territories.

The most exciting type of objects available are the 3D models of the most well known world objects. For example, you can see the Statue of Liberty in New York, the pyramids in Egypt, or the Kremlin in Moscow. It's a very entertaining mode. Earth 3D Screensaver comes with a screensaver manager. This neat program installs as a screensaver itself. You can download, configure and launch other screensavers using it. It can select screensavers randomly or one by one.
