Japan Riddles is a logical puzzle game that is not just a good pastime, but also a brain teaser which can be used as an educational game.

The program has a nice interface for unraveling riddles known as Nonogram puzzles or Griddlers, Paint by Numbers, Japanese Puzzles and Japan Crosswords. You can solve both two-colour (black-and-white) riddles and coloured ones (including up to 20 colours of 70x70 squares volume).

In a one-colour picture you must try to restore the enciphered picture by painting the squares in accordance with numerical indices. The number shows that in the given line (column) there is an appropriate quantity of squares in succession to be painted. If there are several numbers, there will be several lines, and there must be a gap between them of at least one empty square.

If you are unable to unravel a riddle in only one play, you will have the opportunity to save the unfinished game and load it later to play to completion.
