Altered Perceptions creates stereograms (SIRDS) using two graphics files: a black-and-white source image (SI), and a long narrow texture file (Background or BG). Both files must be in Bitmap format (.bmp) and 256-colour depth.

Even though it may look simple, the program`s code contains algorithms that make your stereograms devoid of all negative effects. There are no unnecessary options that could confuse an average user. The only parameter used is 'depth factor' that determines the "squishiness" of the stereo-image.

With the program, you will find some interesting examples. You`ll be able to download BG and SI, learn a way to view stereo-images, and read some tips that will drastically improve the quality of your stereograms.

The trial version of the program limits the number of stereograms. Adding capabilities are only available in the full version.
