Alchemy Eye is a network management tool that continuously monitors server availability and performance.

In the event of network errors, Alchemy Eye can alert the network administrator by cell phone or pager BEFORE problems get seriously out of hand. This helps protect your company's data and reduces the likelihood of costly network failures. If a server goes down, Alchemy Eye automatically notifies the network administrator and writes a detailed log file.

Alchemy Eye Monitors ALL types of servers. It monitors server functions using a variety of protocols and services, including: TCP/IP, ICMP (ping), IPX/SPX, Oracle Server, MS SQL Server, Free disk space, NT Event Log, SQL query result, HTTP URL, Any database server, NT service state, Plugins and add-ons.

The program automatically notifies your network administrator of server errors and malfunctions. These notifications can be sent to e-mail addresses, cellular phone numbers (SMS), alphanumeric pagers, and ICQ numbers*. Notifications can also be sent by the standard Windows 9x WinPopup application or the Windows NT/2000 Messenger Service.

These timely alerts help to minimize network downtime and keep small problems from snowballing into serious, debilitating network issues. Alchemy Eye can log application events to a log file. Different log file detail levels (none/normal/full) and log file formats (text or HTML) can be configured for the user.

Alchemy Eye also enables you to build server availability reports showing how long your servers were unavailable, what network errors occurred during the monitoring and much more. You can create your own statistical reports or order new reports direct from Alchemy Lab.
